Physical Education
As the Physical Education Department continues to make strides in the development and growth of our students, the ability to initiate programs, which will aid in performance and productivity, is crucial. Teachers and students alike will be able to demonstrate personal growth and development through implemented strategies provided by the Physical Education Department. As a department, we have examined and analyzed contributing factors that will increase academic and social standards.
It is our aim to produce students who are competent in the practical and theoretical areas of sport education. Hence, we expose our students to competitions and best practices as early as twelve (12) years of age. The objective is for these students to develop an appreciation for sports and by extension, exert competence in areas of exposure. We also understand the importance of career opportunities embedded in sport education; with this in mind, we encourage students who possess innate abilities (and those who are deeply interested) to consider the benefits of sport education.
As sport facilitators, we are cognizant of the social, moral and ethical values of our students, and as such, we try as best as we can to instill discipline at all levels in the psyche of our students. The overall aim is not only to produce competent individuals in society, but also to prepare students holistically to meet societal standards.
